What are pen style devices?

This type of vaping device used to be the most popular and widely used product at the moment. This style of electronic cigarette quickly replaced cig-a-likes as the go to device for vapers as they are more efficient, cost effective and above all simple to use.

This style of device is easy to recognise as they always consist of two main parts, the battery and the atomizer.

• The Battery
• Supplies power to the atomizer.
• Usually charged with a USB cable.
• The Atomizer
• Sits on top of the device
• Holds the juice
• Produces the vapour.

How do these devices work?

As normal the atomizer on the top is the part that is filled with e-liquid.

These types of devices use a coil system which sits inside of the atomizer, turning e-liquid into vapour. Coils work by allowing juice to flow into a wick which lets the juice slowly touch a coil of wire that is very hot. It is when e-juice gets heated enough by the coil that vapour is produced and inhaled out the top.

There are many different designs of atomizers on the market available to the customer, however they all share the same basic principle of using a coil to create vapour.
