Increasing Capacity
Capacity is how much charge your battery can hold and is measured in milliampere hour (mAh); the higher the (mAh) rating means the more charge your battery can hold in a charge. For vape devices that use an external battery, the best way to increase it is by buying a bigger capacity battery. For vapes with an internal battery, the only way is to buy a larger capacity vape.
Variable Voltage
This is the next logical step for vape mods; to give users more control over how much vapour is produced by the atomiser. Typically, these kind of mods will let users select a voltage to apply to the tank and as the user increases power the end result will be more clouds and a warmer vape. This type of power management is beginning to get rarer but still sought after by vape aficionados.
Variable Wattage
Variable wattage mods will allow the user to select from a range of power to increase vapor production and the temperature of the draw. Variable wattage is more desirable than variable voltage for some users because the mod adjusts the voltage applied to keep the wattage correct. For example, when the coil is being used it gets hotter which changes the resistance of the coil. The mod will read this change and adjust the voltage applied accordingly, often saving battery life and prolonging the life of the coil.
Faster Charge Time
Vapes all have different charge times depending on what hardware is built inside of them, this is normally permanent and cannot be changed. Every vape will have a charge current stated in the instructions which will give you a rough idea of how long it will take to charge the device. A quick way to tell if a vape will charge faster than the one you already have is by looking at the charge port. The older Micro USB ports will always take longer than a USB Type C to charge your device as the Micro can handle a much smaller charge current. Not all USB Type C will charge the same because although the wire used can handle a lot of current, the vape wont be able to utilise it; how much current it can utilise depends on what internals the manufacturer has used.

Bigger Resistance Range
This would only apply if you are using an older style mod that was designed for use with some of the earlier available tanks. Many coils nowadays including mesh coils use a resistance that is lower than they used to be. This means that an older style of mod will give you an error message of low resistance rather than providing power to the tank. Most mods that have been released in the last few years will happily run every tank available on the market.
Increasing Power
Some vape devices can take as much power as you can throw at it, some users will want to increase it but are limited to what the vape mod can push out. More power often means bigger, fuller clouds and but if you keep increasing the power the next thing to increase is the temperature of the cloud, creating a more intense hit.
Temperature Control
Used mainly by vape aficionado's that really know what they are doing. Vape mods all handle this differently but the main takeaway from temperature control, often abbreviated to temp control, is that it allows the user to select how hot the coil will get and wont allow the mod to push it beyond that. This allows users to vape as much as they want, safe in the knowledge that the coil will never get hot enough to burn and give an unpleasant taste. However, this does not mean the coil will last forever as the wicking material will eventually get clogged up with flavouring, sugar, and sweeteners to the point it will constantly hit the overheat point.
